cullenblazeDay One - A show that should never have been cancelled
There are many shows I would like to have back:-) Fastlane, Roswell, Moonlight... But if I have to decide I'd say...
True Calling!
I loved that show. So many awesome actors, Eliza Dushku, AJ Cook, Eric Christian Olsen, Jason Priestley, Shawn Reaves... I watched it from the beginning and it was a great storyline.
For those who don't know the show: Tru Davis (Eliza Dushku) starts working in a morgue and while she is working there the dead bodies start asking her for help. Then Tru re-lives the day and tries to rescue the victim. At the end of season one Jack (Jason Priestley) is introduced, who is like the counterpart to Tru's character. Basically he is there to make sure fate gets its way. He doesn't like Tru interfering and tries everything to make sure that dead people stay dead.
I especially liked Tru's brother Harrison, played by Shawn Reaves, he was a great character, very funny and a great support for Tru in the later episodes. This show had everything I love: great characters, mystery, good sense of humour...and they cancelled it:-( At least we got an ending and some explanations (kind of), as opposed to Fastlane. I'm stilled mad at the ending of this show. We will never know what happened to Billie, but whatever:-)^^

Date: 2011-01-10 02:04 pm (UTC)Sometimes I stumbled over this show while I was zapping but I had no time to watch it every week and didn't like the idea of dead people asking for help like this very much so I didn't give it a try.
But I know that a lot of people liked the show.
AJ Cook was playing there?
Maybe I would give it a try now :)

you should watch it, I bet you're going to like it. And Shawn Reaves is nice to look at, as well as Eric Christian Olsen in Season 2;-)

Is there no German DVD of it? Normally both audio tracks are on it.
I can't watch tv shows in German anymore. The most important DVDs are not even the German editions so no chance to watch it ever dubbed :)

So many jokes are different and sometimes don't even make any sense. So now I only watch it in English.
